How to Store Honey Properly to Keep It Fresh
Honey is naturally long-lasting, but storing it correctly keeps it smooth, fresh and free of crystallisation. Here’s how.
Use an air-tight glass jar
Store honey in a clean, dry glass jar with an air-tight cap. Glass doesn’t absorb odours and keeps moisture out.
Keep it at room temperature
Store away from direct sunlight and heat. Avoid the fridge — cold speeds up crystallisation.
If honey crystallises
It’s still perfectly good. Gently warm the jar in warm water to return it to liquid.
